Ongoing Volunteers

Agency: International Seafarers' Center

Description: The International Seafarers' Center provides direct services to seafarers who come to the Port of Brunswick as crew aboard merchant vessels. We have an ongoing need for ship visitors, van drivers, hospitality center workers, and other tasks. You will have an opportunity to meet sailors from many countries and show them the hospitality for which we are famous. Time and frequency of your service is negotiable, arranged to fit your schedule. Training is provided. Additional service opportunities are also available.

To enter any port, you will have to pass a background check and receive credentials. We will walk you through this process. Persons age 55 or older will be signed up with the Retired Senior Volunteer Services program and will receive some reimbursement for travel expenses.
