Description: our 2010 Day of Caring project will be Children at Play, a community build playground in the park between Brooklyn Homes and McIntyre Court Apartments. Although the park is owned by the City of Brunswick, The Boys and Girls Club will oversee the finished public play areas for community enjoyment. This project unites generous, service-minded people under the common mission of creating meaningful and lasting change in the lives of those in our community. This event proves that when we as individuals, can think beyond ourselves, we have the power to facilitate change. Volunteers will come together for this single project on May 20th & 21st for the actual build days and on May 22nd for the opening and community day. There will be opportunities to volunteer on all days and we are coordinating with cooperating agencies to have on-site, non-strenuous projects so there will be something for everyone.
